An pastor polished the shoes of an elder with his own polish. Think what it do to an elder that can not read or write with a very low self esteem. Truth of love changes hearts and changes families and communities. Communities that function on God's love truth and serivice spread a wonderfull frangrance into the world, Developement health and all that is good.

This is one of the small but powerfull seeds planted after the vision conference in Chimwavi.

Hein van Wyk from Hope for Africa, and Rev Johannes Aucamp from Topia, joined as partners of this initiative with the IRM Tumbine synod. We drove out to the congregation of Chimwavi where we focused on a vision of the congregation, a vision with practical consequenses. The two Mozambican pastors in training also demonstrated a very possitive attitude and growth. After a few years the idea is that they will oversee this work further and be well trained disciples with this material.

With honesty we tackeled culture and traditions and the congregation demonstrated to us first the fruits of the community. The situation is desperate although there is some positives that we can work with.

We then looked at the roots of these problems and there we discovered many illnesses and bad ways of thinking about reality. Sometimes a dark worldview. Then we looked at the type of community that God want. It was good to discover the good intentions of God and the answer to the problems in Jesus. These answers have good consequences for real lives. 

We look at the principle of the seed to see how connectiveness with Christ and based on Him how healing is busy to take place. The church receive a new calling so different than what happened up to now. Not even the ancestors can stop this movement.

On the conference was a man that worked with me from 1994. A very open good hearted friendly man. I have the biggest respect for him. In one prayer he had me in tears. He in his very honest way told the Lord that the tree of our congregation is bitter the fruits are bitter and not nice to eat. Please Lord bring us healing!

The healing is through Jesus, He is the Truth. He is the new root, was sent by God to heal. It is in an identity of Love, that is demonstrated by acts of service. The consequences of these acts is transformation in the communities. We practised small steps and now there is a need for encouragement and our prayers is very important.
